The morning started well she was now awake as they had stopped the morphine, her brain activity had changed from severly abnormal to moderatley abnormal and we believed things were looking up. When the doctors came to see us they said since coming off the morphine her fits were getting worse, she has no reflexs, and her left lung has collapsed. He said he would like to see us in private so we could discuss what to do next. At 2pm we sat down with the doctor and the nurse who was looking after Imogen that day, and were told they had done all they could now but Imogen was to poorly for life and would not survive once taken off the ventilator. We were devestated but said we wanted to give it one more day beofre we did anything. That evening Imogen blocked her ventilator with blood from a bleeding lung along with other problems.
